The sri lankan coast guard officers with the assistance of Navy Officers have detained 17 Indian Fishermen with two Indian fishing trawlers they were in while poaching in Sri Lankan waters east of point pedro today(06).The detained fishermen and trawlers are due to be handed over to the Jaffna fisheries inspector for future course of action it has been reported.
