The Independent Drug Regulatory Authority is due to issue a circular regarding the decrease in escalated prices of drugs on 31st of August according to the Ministry of Health,Nutrition and Indeginous Medicine.The Minister of Health Dr.Rajitha Senaratne along with other higher officials of the Ministry had discussed with the officials of National Chamber Of Drugs regarding the price reduction of drugs recently.
During the meeting the Health Minister has proposed the officials of the National Chamber Of Drugs to reduce the prices of drugs up to 85% it has been reported.
The prices of the some essential drugs in the local market had been increased from 100 to 200 percent recently according to reports.
