Detained Hambanthota MP Namal Rajapakshe Has Been Released On Bail

Hambanthota District MP and former president Mahinda Rajapakshe's eldest son Namal Rajapakshe who was detained on 11th of July has been released on bail today(18) by the Colombo Fort Magistrate.

The MP who was detained by FCID over a financial irregularity has been released on a cash bail of Rs.50,000 and three personal bails of Rs.500,000 each after being produced before Colombo Fort Magistrate.

As the MP was detained for financial fraud the Magistrate has banned him from going abroad and taken his passport under court custody.
