The Police have used tear gas and water cannons to dissolved a protest campaign organized by Kelaniya University Students yesterday(15).Earlier a court has issued an order avoiding University Students of conducting the protest march against arresting of a group of Kelaniya university students.The protest march was due scheduled to be conducted from Technical Junction in Colombo To Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.
The protest march which was organized by Inter University Students Federation tried to proceed towards Presidential Secretariat and as a result Police have used tear gas and water cannons to dispersed the protest.
