The Police Narcotics Bureau Officials have today(25) detained a Pakistani National who is supected as a key suspect of a drug smuggling racket upon his arrival at Katunayake Bandaranaike International Air Port with five kilo grammes of heroin in his possession.The suspect was detained after he arrived Katunayake Air Port from Qatar through Qatar Air Ways flight and the haul of heroin was found concealed inside of a secret compartment of two boxes in his possession.
The value of the haul of heroin detained is estimated as around Rs.60 million.The suspect Roydad Khan is suspected as a member of a key international drug racket operated froM Rawalpindi.Pakistan where heroin had been smuggling to Sri Lanaka via Qatar .
