TWO MP'S Have Been Suspended From Parliament For A One Week Period Regarding The Brawl Incident In Parliament

Image result for suspendedThe leader of the house Minister Lakshman Kiriella has today (05) announced in the Parliament that Deputy Minister Palitha Thewarapperuma and United Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA) MP Prasanna Ranaweera will be suspended from Parliament for a one week period with effect from tomorrow(06) over their direct involvement of the brawl incident occurred in Parliament last Tuesday(03).

The report of the inquiry conducted on the brawl by Deputy Speaker and Deputy Chairman of Committees has recommended to take a stern disciplinary action against the above mentioned Parliamentarians over the incident.The inquiry report was handed over to the Speaker Karu Jaysuriya yesterday(04).

Parliamentarian S.Samarasinghe was injured and hospitalized due to the brawl occurred at Parliament on Tuesday after a group of government MP'S and members of Joint Opposition Group clashed each other during the speech of  Minister of Regional Development Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka on removal of the military security from former president Mahinda Rajapakshe.
