The Supreme Court has today(24) dismissed a fundamental rights petition filed against field marshal mp sarath fonseka by seeking an order to revoke the government's decision to appoint him as a member of parliament.The fundamental rights petition was filed by center for policy alternatives.
The governing united national party(UNP) has appointed the field marshal sarath fonseka for the parliamentary seat left vacant after the death of former minister M.K.D.S Gunawardena and he was sworn in before parleiament speaker karu jayasuriya on 09th of february.
