The Terrorism Investigation Division(TID) has yesterday (26)detained a former senior commander of the LTTE ,Kanapathipillai Sivamoorthy alias Nagulan at Kopay in Jaffna(Northern Province)for questioning according to the Police.Nagulan who had served in the Charles Anthony Brigade of the LTTE was arrested based on the information received from another LTTE ex cadre "Ram" who was arrested on last Sunday it has been reported.
During the final stages of war between Sri Lanka Armed Forces and LTTE ,Nagulan has been reported as fled the country and after end of the war he has returned to Pudumathalan area and secretly living in a welfare camp at Kopay .
