The Ceylon Electricity Board has decided to purchase Electricity with a capacity of 100 Mega Watts from a Private Diesel Power Plant at Embilipitiya due to the rising demand of Electricity in the country according to the Board.The Ministry Of Power And Renewable Energy and the Private Diesel Power Plant at Embilipitiya are due to sign a one year contract agreement regarding this during next week the Electricity Board has stated.
Earlier too Ceylon Electricity Board has purchased Electricity from the above mentioned private diesel power plant at Embilipitiya.
