Sri Lankan Navy have arrested 08 Indian Fishermen who were illegally fishing in Sri Lankan Waters along with two boats they were in with the help of Sri Lankan Coastal Guard Officers.These Indian Fishermen were arrested while fishing illegally in North Western Sea Coast off Kovilanthuduwa in Kareinagar (In Northern Province) Area according to the Navy.
The arrested Indian Fishermen and their boats are due to be handed over to the officers of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Department in Kankasanthurai for future course of action.
