Sri Lankan Coastal Guard Officers Have Arrested 29 Indian Fishermen Who Were Illegally Fishing In Sri Lankan Waters

Sri Lankan Coastal Guard Officers with the assistance of  Navy have today(06) arrested 29 Indian Fishermen who were illegally fishing in Sri Lankan Waters off the Sea Coast in North Western Point of  Kudiramalai in Thalaimannar (Northern Province).

The Fishermen who arrived from Tuticorin (22) and Rameshwaram(09) In Tamil Nadu were arrested along with  their Three Country Boats and a mechanized Vessel Sri Lanka Navy have said.

The arrested Indian Fishermen and their Boats were handed over to the Fisheries And Aquatic Resources Department in Thalaimannar and Kalpitiya Police Station for further action the Navy have announced.
