The Government will take steps to preserve Five Endangered Species inherent to Sri Lanka whose numbers are rapidly decreasing according to acting minister of Sustainable Development And Wild Life Sumedha Jayasena.
Accordingly The Black Monkey ,Loris(Unahapuluwa),House Sparrow,Asokapethiya and Pangolins(Kaballawa) will be named as five endangered species which should be preserved the acting minister has said.
The Acting Minister Sumedha Jayasena has made these remarks during her speech at World Wild Life Day Celebrations held at Udawalawe National Zoo yesterday(04).
