The visiting United Nations High Commissioner For Human Rights Prince Zeid Raad Al Hussain has today(07) visited the war affected Northern Province in Sri Lanka and held talks with key provincial officials and relatives of the missing persons.
During his visit to North the UN High Commissioner had first met the Chief Minister of Northern Province C.V Vigneshwaren at Jaffna and held talks on Political Prisoners ,War Widows Of The North,Disappearances Occurred During War ,Regional Development Affairs and Resettlement Process.
After the talks held with Chief Minister Vigneshwaren UN High Commissioner had met relatives of those went missing during the war who have protested out side the Chief Minister's Office in Jaffna .During the meeting the protesters have told their grievances to the High Commissioner Al Hussain and he has assured the protesters that he will discuss on the grievances with Sri Lanka's President and Prime Minister.
