The visiting Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had met Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (06) at President's House and held discussions on bi lateral issues including the government's reconciliation process and development activities .
During the Discussions President Sirisena thanked India for it's support offer to Development Process in Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile the Indian External Affairs Minister had met the leader of the main opposition and Tamil National Alliance(TNA) R.Sampnathan and few Parliamentarians and discussed the current political situation in Sri Lanka and the Indian Fishermen's Issue according to reports.
During the talks the opposition leader Sampanthan has requested the Minister Swaraj to stop the bottom trawling use by Indian Fishermen in Sri Lankan Seas.
