Sri Lanka Cricket has today(18) suspended the services of Fast Bowling Coach of Sri Lankan National Cricket Team Anusha Samaranayake and Bowler Gayan Viswajith over an alleged match fixing scandal occurred during the First Test Against West Indies Played in Galle on last October. The bowler Viswajith who is the main suspect of the Match Fixing Scandal has been also banned from entering the Sri Lanka Cricket Premises.
The Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division(FCID) has already began an Investigations regarding the alleged Match Fixing Scandal per the complaint lodged by Sports Minister Daysiri Jayasekera.
The Sri Lankan National Cricketer Thisara Perera had earlier informed the officials that some bookies have approached him and the off spinner Rangana Herath to under perform during the first Test Match played against West indies in Galle last October.
The FCID had already questioned Sri Lankan Opener Kusal Perera and Off Spinner Rangana Herath over the alleged Match Fixing Scandal and due to question Sri Lankan Captain Angelo Mathews and Team Manager Jerry Wouterz according to Sri Lanka Cricket.
