The Minister Of Health ,Nutrition And Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has decided to convene an urgent meeting of the Presidential Task Force On Dengue Control in early January to decide the new measures should be taken to control the Dengue Epidemic in the Country.The decision to convene an urgent meeting of Dengue Task Force has been taken due to the increase of Dengue Patients reporting from the country according to Ministry Of Health.The Minister had already requested from President Maithripala Sirisene to give a date in early January to convene the Task Force Meeting the Ministry Sources said.
At the recently concluded Dengue Mosquito Control Week held in Western Province from 21st to 23rd of December ,Health Authorities have filed Legal Cases against owners of 521 Premises who had maintained dengue mosquito breeding places.
