Bank Documents Have Been Destroyed Due To A Fire Broke Out In A State Bank Building At Katunayake

Due to a sudden fire broke out this evening in the second story of a State Bank Building at Katunayake ,A part of the Building has been completely destroyed and a large number of Bank Documents are reported as burnt according to the Police.

However the Moneys stored at the Bank are safe the Police have said.

The fire has jointly doused by the Katunayake Air Port Fire Brigade ,Seeduwa Urban Council Fire Brigade and Air Force which arrived at the scene shortly after the fire has broke out.

Katunayake Police are conducting investigations on the incident.
