Around 4661 Persons belonging to 1554 Families reside in Puttalam District (In North Western Province) have been displaced up to now due to the Floods prevails in the area according to Disaster Management Center(DMC).The Disaster Management Center has established 6 Camps for these Displaced Persons it has been announced.DMC has also taken steps to clean Canals situated in the area which blocked flowing of water .
