All Liquor Shops And Meat Stalls In The Country To Be Closed On This Thursday(12) In View Of The Funeral Of Late Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero

The Government has decided to close all Liquor Shops and Meat Stalls in the Country on this Thursday (12) in view of National Day Of Mourning declared for the funeral of Late Most Venerable Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero Who has passed away at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.

The funeral of late Sobitha Thero is due to be taken place at Parliamentary Grounds in Colombo this Thursday with full state honors according to Government.The Body of late thero was brought to Sri Lanka from Singapore yesterday night and now it's kept at the Naga Viharaya(Temple) In Kotte for Public Veneration.

Meanwhile in view of the Funeral of Late Sobitha Thero all Cinema Halls in Colombo and Schools in  Sri Jaywardenapura ,Kotte except Grade 10 and 11 will be closed on this Thursday government has announced.
