President Sirisene Has Appointed Another Three Members To National Police Commission

President Maithripala Sirisene has today(22) appointed two new members to the newly established National Police Commission.Accordingly the former Inspector General Of Police Frank Silva and Senior Administrative Officer Thilak Kollure have been appointed to the Police Commission by President.

The new chairman and members of the National Police Commission have been appointed yesterday(21).The National Police Commission has been established under the 19th Amendment with effect from 14th Of October 2015 and the powers of appointments,transfers,Promotions ,control of discipline and dismissal of  all rank police officers  except Inspector General Of Police  have been vested with the Commission.
