The nursing staff attach to the Puttalam General Hospital(In North Western Province) are due to launch a four hour strike from 8 a.m to 12 noon tomorrow(22) by demanding to release all the nurses in hospital who are under transfer orders with immediate effect according to the All Ceylon Nurses Union.The president of the All Ceylon Nurses Union,Gamini Kumarasinghe has said around 35 Nurses attached to the Puttalam Hospital are on transfer orders since more than six years and the hospital authorities so far released only 10 nurses out of them due to the shortage of new nursing recruitment's.
