Elected MP Susil Premjayantha who has been removed from the Secretary Post Of United Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA) before election has today(25) tendered his resignation letter from the Post to the President Maithripala Sirisene.In the letter of resignation sent to the President Elected MP Susil Premjayantha has said that he is disappointed the way some of UPFA coalition party leaders behaved during past few days by criticizing him for not allocated National List MP Posts for coalition parties of UPFA.
President Sirisene as the chairman of the UPFA has removed both Susil Premjayantha and Anura Priyadarshana Yapa as the general secretaries of UPFA and SLFP respectively through a court order just before the election.
