The secretary to the Ministry Of Mass Media and Communication Karunaratne Paranawithane has reigned from his post with effect from yesterday(10) citing policy decisions.According to Mr.Paranawithane he has tendered his resignation letter to the President Maithripala Sirisene and President has accepted it.Karunaratne Paranawithane is a former Journalist,Author and a Diplomat and once the chief organizer of Sri Lanka Freedom Party for the Ratnapura District.He has reported as turned down the request made by United Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA)recently to contest for Ratnapura District from the Alliance in forthcoming Parliamentary Election.
