The Colombo Grand Mosque has today (17) decided to commence the Ramadan (Eid Al Fitr) Fasting from this Friday(19) as the new moon was not sighted in any part of the country today.Muslim Community all over the world will observe a month of fasting and prayers during Ramadan,which is the ninth month of Islamic Lunar Calendar.The fasting during Ramadan is considered as one of the five pillars of Islam.
