The Foreign Affairs Ministry has now working to finalize the suitable officers to be appointed as new Foreign Ambassadors and Councilors the government sources said..According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs twenty nine ambassadors and thirty seven councilors are to be appointed for the foreign service soon.The relevant recommendations have been already presented to the President Maithripala Sirisena for his approval and after receiving his approval they will be submitted to the high post committee of the Parliament for it's approval.
Almost all the political appointees served in as ambassadors and councilors in several foreign countries who were appointed by the previous regime have been recalled to the country recently/
