The government ally Sri Lanka Muslim Congress has announced today(28) that they will support the common opposition presidential candidate Maithripala Sirisena in the forthcoming presidential elections scheduled to be held on 08th of January 2015.Addressing the decision of the party the leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress and Minister of Justice of the present government Rauf Hakeem has said that he himself today submitted his resignation from his ministerial portfolio to the president.
