The first phase of the new outer circular highway from Kottawa to Kaduwela was inaugurated by President Mahinda Rajapaksha this evening.the 11 kilo meter circular highway was constructed at a cost of Rs.27 billion with the financial assistance from Japan.Through the new outer circular highway inaugurated today it will take only 8 minutes to reach kaduwela from kottawa.the highway is joined to the katunayaka and southern express highways and it compromised with three phases including 8.9 kilo meters long Kaduwela-Kadawatha and 9.2 kilo meters long kadawatha-kerawalapitiya highways.
