The Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) is to increase the price of Diesel Liter by Rs.2 with effect from midnight tonight the LIOC has announced.The Price of Super Diesel Liter has also to be increase from One Rupee the sources have added.According to this price increase the new price of LIOC Diesel Liter will be Rs.,117.Before the price increase LIOC made a written request from the Minister Of Petroleum Industries Susil Premjayatha yesterday (30) to allow increase of Diesel Liter from Rs.13 and Petrol Liter by Rs.10 with immediate effect.
Meanwhile the LIOC Management has said that this price increase came into effect due to the company loss their profit through selling of fuel .
