Around 16 essential Drugs and Surgical s including life saving Saline are out of stock these days in one of the largest government hospitals of Southern Province the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital according to hospital sources.Due to this shortage the Hospital Doctors are prescribing patients to buy out of stock drug items from private sector the sources added.The out of stock drugs at Karapitiya Hospital including Diabetic Drug 'Metfomin', Pressure Tablet "Atenalol",Cholesterol Drug "Atovastatin" and "HCT' .Sometimes these drugs have not seen in Private Pharmacies as well causing further trouble for patients hospital sources said.
