The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) has today claimed that the majority of visiting Indian Doctors who are serving in Private Hospitals of the country are not qualified Doctors.Stating the need to review the educational qualifications of these Doctors who are visiting Sri Lanka freely before giving permission to serve in Private Hospitals.Addressing a Press Briefing held in Colombo today GMOA Secretary Dr.Chandika Epitakaduwa has said today that there are around 100-200 Doctors currently working in Private Hospitals of Sri Lanka.If the Health Authorities fails to take any action against these low qualified Indian Doctors GMOA will take stern action against it Dr.Epitakaduwa has stressed.
