Government Has Decided Not To Declare Monday As A Holiday Behalf Of May DayAs this years May Day falls on Sunday Government has decided not to declare the following day Monday as a Holiday for Government and Private Sector Employees.According to the Minister Of Public Administration and Home Affairs John Seneviratne everyone should celebrate this years May Day on Sunday as it falls.

Earlier the Ministry Of Labor has been requested that Monday to be declared as a Holiday for Government and Private Sectors.It has been learn t that the  Sri Lanka is having a large number of Public and Bank Holidays per year .
