Four essential drugs including the drug prescribed for Diabetes Patients to reduced blood sugar level "Metformin"are out of stock these days in most State Hospitals according to the Hospital Sources.The out of stock drug items are "Metformin","paracetamol","Penicillin" and "Piriton" according to the sources.Both Out door(OPD) and Indoor departments in most of the State Hospitals not having these drugs from weeks according to the Pharmacists.Due to the shortage Government Hospital Doctors are prescribing patients to buy these drugs from private pharmacies they stressed.
