I gather that this particular Syrup has a number of ingredients
that has no scientifically proven benefits to patients when used in such combinations. This so called syrup is not available in any other countries that have tighter regulations to protect patients from this kind of crappy products. I think, no qualified medical practitioner worth his/her salt prescribe this product to patients. It is amazing how this crap find its place in the market in the first place, escaping the scrutiny of the Cosmetic Devices and Drug Regulatory Authority. The minister seems to be in the habit of responding in knee jerk reactions and in ad hoc measures to health problems confronting the nation. As far as the pharmaceutical products are concerned, minister must overhaul the entire system taking into considerations the recommendations of late Prof. Senaka Bibile.
