The new party constitution of the main opposition United National Party
(UNP)proposed by Party Members was approved at the Special Convention
which is now underway at the UNP Head Quarters in"Sirikotha"Pitakotte(Colombo
Suburbs).The new constitution was earlier approved by the Party's Working Committee.
the much debated Special Convention began at 9 a.m this morning and will continue till 2 p.m.
