A motion presented to the Parliament today on increasing the Salaries of Judges passed unanimously.The new salary increase will implement with the effect from 01st of January next year.According to the motion the new Salary of the Chief Justice will be Rs.71,500,Salaries of Supreme Court Judges and the Chairman of Appeal Court will Rs.65,000 and the Appeal Court Judges Salary is Rs.63,500.
