Although the former Health Ministry Authorities stressed that no one has died from the global epidemic Swine Flu commonly known as H1N1 a senior Epidemeologist attached to the World Health Organization(WHO) Dr.Ranjan Wijesinha yesterday urged that around 48 peope died due to the disease since last June and around 642 patients are infected from the disease upto now.The first H1N1 Patient was reported from Sri Lanka in 16th of June 2009 and that patient was a Sri Lankan Boy reside in Australia.Thursday, July 29, 2010
