Controversial Southern Provincial Councilor Nishantha Muthuhettigama of the Governing United Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA) was arrested by the Police short while ago at Galle on a Arrest Warrant issued by the Magistrate Court in Galle.A Special Police Team was sent to arrest Councilor Muthihettigama according to the Senior DIG of Galle.He was arrested due to failure to attend the Court Case filed against him by fellow Provincial Councilor and Actress Anarkali Akarsha on the charges of issuing Death Threats against her and destroying her Elections Office .Muthuhettigama also tried to make a chaos at the first newly elected Southern Provincial Council Sessions held yesterday by forcibly occupying the Council Chairman's Seat.Following the Incident the Session was suspended till 19th of November.
