Australian Government yesterday deported 9 Sri Lankans who were held in Christmas Island after been captured while trying to enter to the Country Illegally.All 9 People deported are Sinhalese according to the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Australia Mr.Senaka Walgampaya.These Sri Lankans along with another large number of persons travelling through a Boat towards Australia when the Australian Authorities captured them in last November.They are all related to the Fishing Industry and came from coastal areas of Negambo,Marawila and Kochchikade and they are seeking Refugee Status in Australia it has been revealed.Another large Number of Sri Lankan Illegal Immigrants who were captured by the Australian Authorities are currently undergoing a Screening Process in the Christmas Island.
