One Sri Lankan Soldier was shot dead and two others were injured yesterday During a shootout with a LTTE Terrorist at the Eastern District of Batticloe.LTTE Terrorist was moving from a Boat to Kokkadicholai to Kirankulam in the Eastern Province through Batticloe Lagoon when the Soldiers ambushed him.This is the first time that a Soldier was killed in Sri Lanka since the Government Forces had defeated LTTE Terrorism from the Island on last May.
LTTE Terrorist grabbed the Gun from the Soldier when they ambushed him and started shooting killing a Soldier and injuring another two. Terrorist too was got injured when the Army opened fire at him and taken him to custody afterwards.LTTE Cadre was identified as Neelarathnam Mohan.
