Former Health Minister Summoned By CID

 The Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella had given a seven and half hour long  statement to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID)  today(26) regarding the supplying of Controversial Human Immunoglobulin Injection Vials to government  hospitals .


Accordingly CID has recorded the statement from the Minister from 9 a.m to 4 p.m today  it has been reported.During his stay at   the CID Headquarters in Colombo  the former Health Minister Rambukwella has handed over the docuements related to the purchasing of the controversial injection vials to CID officials . These docuements were produced before CID to assist the ongoing investigation regarding the  Purchasing of controversial  Human imuunoglobulin injection vials Minister Rambukwella has stated.

Director General Of Pensions Proposed A Reduction Of Govt.Employees Leave

 The Director General Of Pensions A Jagath De Diaz  has submitted a proposal to the Parliament Select Committee on Responsible Government to reduce  the duty leave of Government employees from 45 to 25   according to the Sources.


According to the Proposal  Casual leave and Medical leave are being proposed to reduce to  10 and 16 days respectively it has been reported.

Around 2000 Arrested During Narcotic Raids Sent For Rehabilitation

 Around 2000  persons arrested in possession of narcotics during the Anti narcotic  raids carried out by the Police Department have been sent for rehabilitation according to the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board.


The majority of these persons who were directed for rehabilitation are being subjected to the residential community treatment and rehabilitation process as a result of the shortage of  room facilities in rehabilitation centers the Board has stated.
