Doctors Have Removed 103 Cocaine Balls From Stomachs Of Two Brazilian Nationals

The Doctors attached to Negambo Base Hospital have removed around 103 Cocaine Balls from stomachs of two Brazilian nationals who had arrived in Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport yesterday(30) and today(01) by swallowing Cocain Balls it has been reported.

The weight of these removed Cocaine balls is around 900 Grammes and estimated value is around Rs.23 million it has been revealed.

A 30 year old Brazilian National arrived in via Emirates flight yesterday was produced before the Negambo Magistrate Court today (01) and the Magistrste had allowed the Police Anti Narcotic Bureau to questioned him under detention for seven days.

Both Brazilians weee handed over to the Police Anti Narcotic Bureau by Airport Customs for further investigations.

Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Has Informed Sri Lankan Airlines To Pay Arrears Due To Pay For Fuel Supply

Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC)has informed The Sri Lanka's National Carrier Sti Lankan Airlines that if the Airlines not been able to pay the arrears of Rs.12 billion due to pay to the CPC by this Wednesday (04) it will stop the Supplying of Fuel to the Airlines.

CPC has also reminded the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) too to pay the arrears due to pay to the CPC to avoid inconvenient situation.

A Programme Had Been Launched To Distribute Highly Nutritious Biscuits Among Estate Children To Combat Malnutrition

A programme on distributing highly nutritious Biscuits "Tikiri Shakthi"among the Estate children of the ages 2-5 years to combat the spreading of Malnutrition amongst them has been launched this morning(01)at Arapolakanda Estate in Thembuwana,Kalutara.

The Highly Nutritious Biscuits which are made by a private Company under the instructions of the Ministry Of Health will be distributed 3 times a week among the Estate Children belonging to the above age group according to the Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.

One Biscuit contains a daily nutrition needed by a child it has been revealed.The sufficiant stocks of this Highly Nutritious Biscuits have been handed over to the Estate Supirintendents to distribute amongst children of the Aralaganpola estate today .

The programme of distributing these Highly Nutritious Biscuits among Estate Children will be expanded to other estates as well Minister Dr.Senaratne has stated while addressing the launching of the programme.These Biscuits should be distributed among all Estate People he has stressed.
