A Chinese National Has Died After Drowning In The Sea At Mirissa,Weligama Area

A Chinese National who went for a sea bath has died yesterday (28) by drowning in the sea of the sea coast of Udupila in Mirissa,Weligama Area(In Southern Province).

The deceased Chinese National had died after admission to the Matara General Hospital with critical condition it has been reported.

Weligama Police are conducting further investigations on the incident.

Colombo Crimes Division Had Arrested A Female With 18 Grammes And 800 Mili Grammes Of Heroin In Her Possession

The Police Officers attached to Colombo Crimes Division have arrested a 33 year old female with 18  grammes and 800 mili grammes of Heroin in her possession yesterday(28) during a raid carried out at Stace Road in Grandpass(In Colombo).

The suspected female has been identified as a resident in Grandpass and she is due to  produce before Maligakanda Magistrate Court.

The Colombo Crimes Division Police Officers are  conducting an investigations on the incident.


National Mosquito Control Week To Commence From Today(29)

A National Mosquito Control Week has been declared from today(29) until 04th of April with the aim of  carrying  out Dengue Control Activities throughout the island according to Ministry Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine.

This National Mosquito Control Week will be implemented strictly in 30 Dengue High Risk Zones situated in 10 Districts  the Ministry has stated.

During the Mosquito Control Week house to house inspections will be carried out by health personal with the help of tri forces and Police to find out Dengue Mosquito Breeding Places and legal action will be taken against those who are maintaining such mosquito breeding places at their premises the Ministry Of Health has announced.

Public is advised to destroy dengue mosquito breeding places and keep their environment clean as there's a risk of spreading dengue rapidly during the  forthcoming monsoon rainy season.

Foreign Employment Bureau Has Brought Back 72 Sri Lankan Workers From 3 Middle Eastern Countries

The Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau has yesterday(28) brought back 72 Sri Lankan Workers who worked at  three Middle Eastern Countries due to a various kind of harassment they have faced in those countries.

Accordingly 50 Female Workers and 22 Male Workers worked at Saudi Arabia,Kuwait and Qatar were brought back to the country the Foreign Employment Bureau has stated.

These Workers are residents of Galle,Kurungala,Batticloe,Eravur and Polonnaruwa Areas it has been reported.

Foreign Employment Bureau has made arrangements to send these workers to their houses
 safely ,

A Buddhist Priest Was Killed Due To An Accident Occurred While Crossing The Road

Image result for accident graphicA Buddhist Priest attached to the Thripitaka Dharmayatanaya in Palawatta(In Colombo) was killed by a Motor Car Accident occurred on Awissawella-Colombo Main Road in Pannipitiya Area yesterday(28) according to the Police.

The Buddhist Priest was killed after hit by a Motor Car while crossing the road through a level crossing it has been reported.He was succumbed to his injuries upon admission to the Homagama Hospital in critical condition.

The Maharagama Police have arrested the driver of the Car which involved in the accident  and conducting further investigation on the accident.
