Bribery Commission Officials Have Arrested A Technical Officer While Accepting a Bribe

Image result for accepting a bribeThe Bribery Commission Officials have today(22) arrested a Technical Officer Attached to Yakkalamulle(In Sothern Province) Divisional Secretariat  while accepting Rs.15,000 as a bribe.

According to the Bribery Commission the suspect has been arrested while accepting the bribe from a Contractor who is carrying out Road Repairs in the area for the  issue of  a report to him.

The suspect is due to be produced before Galle Magistrate Court.

Ministry Of Health To Name National Cancer Institute In Maharagama As "Apesksha(Expectation) Hospital"

The Ministry Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine has decided to name the National Cancer Institute(Cancer Hospital) in Maharagama (In Colombo)as "Apeksha (Expectation) Hospital" with effect from 01st of January 2016 in view of changing mental condition of Cancer Patients.

Mahragama,National Cancer Institute is the only state owned Cancer Hospital in the country which provides Treatment and Medicine free of charge for Cancer Patients.

The Minister Of Health Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has instructed the Health Ministry Officials to provide necessary  resources for the National Cancer Institute with immediate effect.

Around 44 Persons Have Been Admitted To The Nagoda Hospital Following A Gas Cylinder Explosion

Around 44 persons have been injured and hospitalized this morning due to a Gas Cylinder explosion occurred at a Paint Manufacturing Factory in Keselwatte ,Panadura(In Western Province).

The injured were admitted to the Nagoda Hospital for treatment with breathing problems.

All Ceylon Medical Officers Association has requested from the Government to reverse it's decision to provide clinical training for Students of controversial Malabe Private Medical College in government hospitals.

"For the sake of innocent patient's of this  country Government should not recognize the fake medical degree given by Malabe Private Medical College as the Sri Lanka Medical Council too refused to recognizing it" The association has said.

All Ceylon Medical Officers Association has began a campaign to educate public and hospital staff about  Malabe Private Medical College and the degree offer by the College from
 Awissawella Base Hospital today.
