Sathosa Has Reduced The Prices Of Three Essentials

 Lanka Sathosa Limited have reduced the Prices of three essentials  with immediate effect to facilitate consumers according to reports.


Accordingly the Price of a Kilo Gramme Of green Gramme has been reduced byRs.51 ,The price of a kilo ramms. White Cowpea has been reduced by Rs.20 per Kilo gramme and White  sugar has been reduced by Rs.5 per a kilo gramme the Sathosa has been announced .Meanwhile the Sathosa has decided to sell a Kilo Gramme Of  Big anions for Rs.300 from yesterday it has been announced.

A Student Injured Due To A Fatal Bus Crash In Badulla Fled Away From Hospital

 One of the injured students attached to the Kotalawala Defense Univerity in Colombo who was receiving treatment at Badulla Teaching Hospital for the injuries sustained as a result of the fatal Bus accident occurred last friday (01).had secretly  fled away from the hospital last night (02) it has been reported.A 24 year old student had fled away without informing the hospital authorities it has been reported.Two young female students of the age 23 years have died as a result of the Bus they were travelling in crashed in to a dam at fifth post in Abagahaoya area at Dunhinda roadn,Badulla last friday morning and fourty others were admitted to Badulla Teaching Hospital for treatment .



Meanwile Ten students who are being received Intensive care treatment since last friday have recovered from their injuries and will be transferred to wards soon the Hospital authorities have stated.

Government Will Not Remove Officials Ravi Seneviratne And Shani Abeysekare- From Their Posts-Minister Vijitha Herath

 Government will not remove the Secretary to the Ministry Of Public Defense , former Deputy Inspector General Of Police Ravi Seneviratne and the Director of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Shani Abeysekare due to the allegations leveled against them by the leader of the Pivithuru Hela.Urumaya Udaya Gammanpila according to the Cabinet Spokesman Minister Vijitha Herath..


Former Parliamentarian Udaya Gammanpila had accused former  DIG Ravi Seneviratne and CID Director Shani Abeysekera as responsible for the easter sunday attack by issuing the Easter Sunday atttack Probe Report compiled by a committee appointed by the  previous government  .during a press briefing held in  Colombo.last Monday(21).However Both Ravi  senevirttne and shani abeysekera  have denied  any wrongdoing regarding the easter sunday attack.

A Motorcycle Destroyed Due To A Sudden Fire

 A Motorcycle ridden by two University students had been completely  destroyed yeterday (19)due to a sudden fire occured near the fuel tank of the vehicle  whilst travelling from Polgasowita area to Bandaragama area in Kaliutara district according to sources.


The Two motorcyclists who are University students were jumped away from the vehicle and try to douse,the fire but failed to do so it has been reported.The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.

A Person Was Arrested Whilst Attempting To Bribe An Acting Police OIC

 Mattakkuliya Police in Colombo District had arrested a 50 year old Person over attempting to offer a monthly bribe of Rs.100,000 to the Acting  Officer In Charge(OIC)   of the Mattakkuliya Police yesterday (16) in view of getting pernission to engage in drug dealing in the area it has been reported.The suspect who is a  resident of Mattakkuliya area had informed the acting OIC of Mattakkuliya Police regarding the bribe through a phone call according to reports.


Thereaffer the acting OIC of Mattakkuliya Police have informed the incident to Bribery  commission and the Commission officers  along with the Police had arrested the suspect when he was attempted to offer Rs.50,000 to the acting OIC at the Mattakkuliya Police station  

Five School Girls Were Hospitalized Due To HPV Vaccine

 Five schoolgirls of 12 years of age attached to a.school.in milleniya area Were hospitalized after experiencing adverse reactions of Human papiloma virus (HPV)vacines given to prevent cervical cancer itt has been reported.

in Anguruwathota area were admitted to the Halthota Regional hospital with symptoms like headache,abdominal.pain and fainting following the adminsitration of the HPV Vaccine at the school  it has been revealed.A total number of 26 students were given the HPV vaccine but only those five students had experienced the adverse reactions of the vaccine sources have stated.Anguruwathota Police are conducting an investigations on the matter.
