NBRO Issued Landslide Warnings To Four Districts

The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) had issued landsilde warnings to 09 provincial district secretariets in Four districts as a result of the adverse weather conditions prevailing in those districts .

Accordingly landslide warnings were issued to Nine Provincial Secretariets in Galle,Matara,Kalutara and Ratnapura Districts.

Adverse Weather Closed All Schools In Galle District

All the Schools in Galle District will be closed tomorrow(09) and the day after (10) due to the adverse weather conditions prevailing in the District according to the Education Ministry in Southern Province.

Due to the heavy showers in the Galle district many houses anf roads are being submerged it has been reported.

Flood Warning Issued To Baddegama Area

Galle District Secretary Shantha weerasinghe had advised the public lives in low lying areas in Baddegama area to vacate their houses due to the overflowing of Gin river as a result of the heavy showers prevailing in .

According to the Galle District secretary following the warning made by last night,Many have moved away from Baddegama area. Nearly 7000 persons are being affected due to the flood situation in Baddegama area it has been reported.
