Wind Power Plant In Mannar Has Been Inaugurated Inaugurated

The 15 Mega Watt Wind Power plant built in Mannar (Northern Province) has been inaugurated by the Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekara last Morning (06) it has been reported.

This Power plant was scheduled to be inaugurated in September ,But inaugurated earlier as the local Engineers had completed it's work before the scheduled date according to the Ministry Of Power and Energy

A Person Was Killed Due To A Wild Elephant Attack

A 53 year old person had died due to a Wild Elephant attack in Mahasenpura area of Galenbindunuwewa(Anuradhapura district) last Saturday morning (05).

The deceased was a resident of Mahasenpura village it has been revealed

A Person Arrested In Possession Of 227 KG Kerala Cannabies

Sri Lanka Navy had arrested a person with over 227 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabies in possession during a raid carried out in Ponnalai area of Jaffna district yesterday(05).

Navy had also taken into custody the Lorry

used to smuggle the stock of Narcotics it has been reported .The stock of Narcotics is worth over Rs.75 million according to the Navy. The 31 year old suspect is identified as a resident of Bandarawela area and he along with the lorry had been handed over to Waddukodai police for a legal action .
