Navy Had Arrested 16 Indian Fishermen In Northern Waters

 Sri Lanka Navy had arrested  16 Indian Fishermen along with two multiple fisheries boats in Northern waters in wee hours of this morning (12) over illegally  fishing in Sri lankan waters .

The arrested Indian fishermen are due to be handed over to the authorities in Kankasanthurai (Northern Province).

Police Arrested A Couple Abandoned A New Born Infant

 Police had yesterday (11)arrested two lovers who were responsible for abandoning a new born infant inside the  toilet of the Meengaya Intercity Express Train travelling from Colombo Fort to Batticaloa .

The Infant the couple had left inside the Train  toilet was wrapped in a Bag and the pair was arrested at Bandarawela and Koslanda areas by Police team investigating on the incident  it has been reported .

The pair had fled away after abandoning the new born .

A Female Died After Colliding With A Train

 A female had died after colliding with an Intercity Train running from Colombo Fort to Kandy at Ganemulla railway crossing near the Ganemulla Railway station (Western Province)this morning (12) .

This incident occurred when the deceased female had attempted to cross  the railway crossing when it was closed  it has been revealed .Ganemulla Police are conducting an investigations over the incident .
