Activist Of Galle Face Protest Dhanish Ali Was Sentenced To A 14 Day Imprisonment
One of the activists in Galle Face Protest who is being imprisoned over storming into two state owned TV channels and disturbing the functions of those channels ,Dhanish Ali was again sentenced to another 14 day imprisonment by the Additional Magistrate in Colombo Fort yesterday (03) over using a Mobile Phone whilst at the Magazine Prison in Colombo .
The suspect was remanded after being accepted his fault of using a Mobile Phone whilst serving the prison sentence .Using a Mobile Phone whilst serving a prison sentence is banned in Sri Lanka .After accepting his fault Dhanish Ali was transferred to Welikada Prison in Colombo from Magazine Prison .He was arrested whilst on a flight to Dubai on 27th of July .

Colombo Fort Magistrate Has Remanded Union Leader Stalin Until 12th Of Aaugust
The Colombo Fort Police had arrested Stalin last Wednesday (03) evening over organizing a protest march in Colombo fort on 28th of May violating a court order issued against holding a protest in the area. Police had produced the suspect before the Colombo Fort Magistrate yesterday .

Private Bus owners had launched an Island Wide strike since midnight last night (04) demanding a sufficient amount of fuel for Private Buses according to Private Bus Unions .
Private Bus unions are also opposing the Government's decision to reduce the minimum Bus fare from Rs.38 to Rs.34 without supplying sufficient amount of fuel for buses .Currently authorities have taken steps to provide 40 liters of Diesel per week for a Private bus under the QR Code system and that amount is not sufficient according to the Private Bus Unions .
