Two Singers Had Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 Local singers Santhush Weeraman and Umariya Sinhawansha had been tested positive for Corona virus according to sources .

Both of them are currently receiving treatment for Corona infection at Private hospitals it has been revealed ,

144 Corona Deaths Reported Today (12)

 Another 144 Corona deaths had been reported today (12) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 11,296 according to the Director General Of Health Services (DGHS ) .

Accordingly 77 males and 67 females had died due to Corona infection today .Out of the deceased 122 were over 60 years of age and 21 were belonged to 30-60 years age group  the DGHS had announced ,

One of the deceased was under 30 years old it has been revealed .

2641 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (12)

 A total of 2641 Corona positives had been reported today (12) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 485,922 according to Epidemiology Unit .

At the moment 61,814 Corona positives are being treated at Government /Private hospitals /Quarantine centers and under home care system the Unit has stated ,

The Daily "PCR " And Rapid Antigen Tests Performed In Sri Lanka Had Been Dropped Since 29th Of August

 Since 29th of August  the number of  "PCR " tests performed by the Health authorities daily  had been dropped to less then 15,000 according to Health Ministry sources .During Yesterday (11) only 11,102 "PCR " tests and 3160 "Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed in the  country which is not sufficient enough to identify the non symptomatic Corona positives in the country according to Health Professionals
.

One of the advises issued by the World Health Organization to the countries regarding controlling the Corona pandemic is to conduct more daily Corona tests to  identify more positives and refer them for treatment  

Another 1605 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (11)

 Another 1605 Corona positives had been discharged from hospitals and quarantine centers today (11) after been recovered it has been revealed .,

Accordingly 411,233 Corona positives had been recovered and discharged from Hospitals and quarantine centers  so far ,
