Sri Lanka - 09 Corona Positives Reported Yesterday (25)

A total of 09 Corona positives had been
reported yesterday (25) ,Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported in the Country to 2010 according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly 06 out of the 09 Corona positives reported yesterday were Navy Personal and 03 were Sea Marshals undergoing quarantine at Boosa Quarantine center In Galle.

At the moment 397 Corona positives are being treated in Government Hospitals .

Karuna Amman Given A Seven Hour Statement To CID Regarding His Controversial Statement





Former MP And LTTE Commander Vinayagamurthi Muralidaren allias Karuna Amman who has made a controversial statement regarding Armed forces had yesterday (25)  appeared before  the Criminal Investigations Department  (CID ) to give a statement regarding his statement.

After giving a seven hour statement to the CID Karuna Amman left the premises it has been reported.

CID has launched an inquiry regarding  the statement Karuna Amman made in Ampara recently saying he is a very dangerous person than Corona Virus and he had killed 2000-3000 Army Soldiers at Elephant pass on a single day.

Acting Inspector General Of Police  Chandana Wikramaratna has ordered the CID To inquire on the statement made by Karuna Amman .

However he has not appeared before CID earlier as requested by CID Officials by informing through his lawyers that he was not feeling well..

88 Sri Lankans Stranded In New Zealand Due To Corona Pandemic Arrived In Sri Lanka Today (25)

A group of 88 Sri Lankans stranded in
New Zealand due to the Corona pandemic had arrived in Katunayake International Airport today (25)via Singapore it has been reported.

The group was flying in  Silk Airways flight from Singapore after arriving Singapore from Wellington ,New Zealand.

All the Passangers and Cabin crew  of the flight had undergone "PCR "tests to check their corona status at the Airport .
